My Handmade Christmas 2022 Junk Journal Part 3

I made a series of videos where I show how to decorate the pages in my Christmas Journal. I made most of the journal papers and ephemera images myself using paints, pencils and inks on different types of papers.

Here is the list of Youtube Videos in the series: on How to Decorate A Christmas Journal from Scratch.

Mini Nature Journal

Today, I thought I'd show you another one of my mini junk journals. If you don't already know, I absolutely love mini journals and making them. This one has a nature theme. I used pages from several old gardening books and magazines to make this journal.

It has 4 signatures with about 20 pages in each. It's 8.5cm or 3 1/4" wide by 10.5cm or 41/4" tall with a hard spine that measures 5.5cm or 2'' wide.

Let's have a look inside, shall we?

The journal cover below, is made from a collage of nature-themed papers. The hidden spine is fabric ribbo with a leaf ribbon glued over the top. There is a large butterfly cutout on the front as well as a ticket with a clock. The Journal title is mounted on a strip of paper measuring tape.

A hidden tuck spot.

The pages have lots of pretty lace edging.

Field Notes Booklet

A butterfly on a rustic door flip-out.

This was a fun little journal to make.

Thanks for visiting and I'll see you again soon. Have a happy and creative day everyone.

Bunny Secrets Mini Junk Journal Flip Through

Do you still love flipping through children's books and reliving the magical stories you heard from your childhood? A couple of my all-time favourites are Cinderella and Snow White.

Recently, I picked up a bundle of children's fairytale books from my local charity shop - the ones I found were full of beautifully illustrated pages and great children's stories.

I had a lot of fun using them to make some of my latest mini journals.

In today's video I'm going to show you through one of my mini journals that I make with a bunny theme that I got from one of the children's books I bought on bunny tales.

A Showcase of My Latest Craft Projects 2022

 Hi Everyone,

This year is almost over - where does the time fly? It seems to go faster every year. I'm happy to admit that this last year has been the busiest for me, as far as getting some of my arts and crafts projects started or completed. I have to say, it's been a super fun journey and I still have a ton more projects I want to do.

I just uploaded my first Youtube video titled "A Showcase of My Latest Art & Craft Projects 2022". In that selection, there are a couple of very big projects that I expect will continue to grow and develop over the long term, namely My Tree House Village and My Christmas Village.

The Tree Houses will eventually be four storeys tall, at the moment they are only two storeys high. I won't be adding the other two storeys just, the reason being, is that we are expecting to move house in a year or two and leaving them at their present height will make the task of transporting them to a new home, so much easier.

However, I will continue to work on extending My Christmas Village. I already have the construction plans on the real estate extension to the village. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get started. Hopefully, that will be next month. I will keep you updated.
